The Kodak ESP 5250 All-in-One color inkjet multifunction printer costs only $150 (as of February 5, 2010) and includes Wi-Fi connectivity--a nice feature to have at this price point. Otherwise, it's essentially the same average-quality, slightly slothful machine as its $20-cheaper cousin, the Kodak ESP 3250 All-in-One. It's best for light-duty school or home use.

The HP Officejet 4500 Wireless All-In-One color inkjet multifunction printer gives small-office users a little bit of everything for a low price ($129 as of 02/11/2010), including Wi-Fi. This MFP is slow, however, and the ink costs are middling to pricey.

The Lexmark X9575 Professional is a color inkjet multifunction printer packed with business-centric features--including integrated Wi-Fi. However, while it outshines other models in the same price range (including the near-identical Dell 968w), its costly inks and design flaws might frustrate busier offices.

HP's Officejet 6500 Wireless color inkjet multifunction printer (MFP) finally offers some serious competition to the Pixma MX700 and other Canon models that habitually dominate our chart rankings. The two machines are comparable in speed and price (at this writing, $199 for the HP and $180 for the Canon), but the Officejet 6500 Wireless wins hands-down in design and in ink cost per page.
